Glenn currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, where he registered the Language of Liberty Institute in May of 2005 as a non-profit corporation. As its Executive Director, he works year-round to find teachers and funding, develop relationships with local partners, and publicize the camp. During the camp, Glenn manages and conducts the overall operation, as well as teaching when needed. For hobbies, he enjoys playing classical music and show tunes on the piano, especially when he can accompany other musicians. Glenn's most memorable previous project was translating and publishing the works of Ayn Rand in Russian, and to find the places where she lived. Glenn received his formal education at Indiana University (USA), studying languages, business, and economics.
Andy is a management consultant from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, an Australian citizen, originally from Luxembourg. Andy's special contribution to LLI and the English camp is his broad experience with consulting, organizational development, and training programs. He has worked on IT and other consulting projects around the world, in Malaysia, Indonesia, Rwanda, Kenya, Dubai, and Djibouti, among other places.
During the camp, Andy will teach classes about entrepreneurship, the origin and development of libertarian thought, globalization, and the roots of the current economic crisis.
He has worked with various committees of the European Parliament, with the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry, the European Commission, the British Council and occasionally writes speeches and advise at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Shopov has worked with a number of Bulgarian and European policy institutes (including the Open Society Institute; the European Council for Foreign Relations; Bertelsmann Foundation; Vera Institute for Justice, New York; Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Transparency International, International Centre for Migration Policy Development, Vienna, Austria, etc.).
Mr. Shopov has an MA in Political Science from Sofia University “St. Kliment of Ohrid” and an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has also studied at Oxford University; Queen Mary College, London University; the New School for Social Research, New York and California University, Sonoma.
Robin Koerner is a British citizen and resident of the Unites States. With an eclectic background that includes graduate degrees in physics and philosophy, and work as a corporate strategist, he is the founder and publisher of Watching America.com, a website that translates news about the US from all over the world. This project is endorsed by the Library of Congress, the left and right blogospheres and various mainstream media organizations. Robin has spoken at several universities, on many radio shows and at the U.N. on global politics. He maintains a special interest in economics. As a global investor, Robin has particular expertise in real estate. He is also a Cambridge-certified teacher of English (TESOL) and has taught at a university in Taiwan.
